Q : As per present budget, what will be excise duty
applicable on Pre-Gabricated Building, which attracts chater heading no. 94:06? Last year
it was 4% without cenvat credit.

Duty on pre-fabricated building is 8% with CENVAT and duty has been
rationalized.
Q : What is the diffrence in excise duty on mmf of
2002-2003 & 2003-2004. D.credit facility are available or not in this urront year
2003-2004. I want duty strecture of mmf

Duty on MMF has been reduced from 12% to 10% and the duty credit.
Has been deemed on facility withdrawn.
Q : Please let me know the Present Status of the
following particulars :
1 ) Excise Duties on Textiles
2 ) Excise Duties on Dyes

1. Duty on Textile has been reduced to 10% deemed credit facility
withdrawn from 1.4.2003.
2. On dyes duty is 8% with CENVAT.
Q : What is the reduction in the custom duty in gold
in today's budget. Please tell me complately how it will be charged over Ten tola bar?

Reduction on Customs duty on gold Rs. 100/- per gram but the exemption
is not available to Tola bar.
